5 years ago today...

I was stuck on a mountain top in Peoa, UT because our four wheeler got stuck.

To make a long story short, the next thing I knew a tall, dark and handsome man in a suit was in front of me on one knee. Every day since I've been even more happy I said yes.

I love you Garret... More than yesterday and less than tomorrow.

Making it ours...the never ending story of owning a home.

The handsome man has done it again. His handy-ness makes him even more handsome, I must say. And his blogging skills? Well...he puts me to shame! To see another of our house DIY's check out his latest post here.
This is probably now my favorite room in my house! I just need a chaise and a large round rug...any suggestions?

Making it ours...

The husband blogged about (yea he's way better at this than me...) our pantry/mudroom makeover for his work blog. Check it out if you would like. I'll have to get some more pictures up here with a little more detail, especially once I get the space decorated. I'm just behind in everything right now and I can't catch up, oof.

Costa Rica: Manuel Antonio

Manuel Antonio was probably our favorite city of the 4. It was the perfect way to end the trip. Manuel Antonio is a cute little beach town surrounded by lush, green jungle. The water was so warm and the waves were perfect. The beaches were big and there really weren't many people at all. We went into the jungles and saw SO many amazing animals, haggled in the markets, drank coconuts and body surfed until we dropped (literally, Garret got heat stroke...).

Garret kept saying the whole time "I want to live here, I want to live here!" My thoughts exactly babe! Until then...PURA VIDA!

We kept calling our room "The fantasy suite" it was AMAZING! This is the private deck.
Garret really knew he cold live here when he discovered they have deer...

We saw several sloths while we were there. This dude came out of the tree AND CROSSED THE ROAD. I could have picked him up and cuddled him! Just gotta watch for the green fungus, parasites and lethal talons he's got...

We loved this little pito pito, check out the view!
San Jose rush hour.
Sad to go home...

SOMEONE needs to send me their pictures and videos since they got most of them from this city!!! AHEM. Plus we had a film camera we need to develop still...

If you ever have the chance, go to Costa Rica, it was beautiful, amazing, relaxing, so much to do and the people were really, really cool too. Costa Rica was even better than I imagined and it will be somewhere we will go back to again and again. (I hope!)

Costa Rica: Monteverde

You thought I was back to my old ways didn't you! Well I'm back with another picture overload.

Monteverde was our 3rd city in Costa Rica and is a little place in the mountains. It's way up tiny, muddy, crazy roads in the cloud forests. Someone told us the cloud forests are one of the 100 things you need to see before it's gone. It's sad to think these wonders are disappearing at such fast rate.

Monteverde was a kind of cold and very wet but it was so beautiful and I actually loved it. The forests were so thick and GREEN and just breath taking.

See what those are? Leaf cutter ants!
Ants can hold up to ten times their body weight. This big (little) guy is holding that massive twig all with his jaws!
Dun nuh, dun nuh, dun nuh
Dinner plate size, folks!
That guy made this guy look like nothing! He was probably fist sized.
Zip lining and repelling in the canopy, SO beautiful!

The guys jumped from this nutso bridge 175ft off the ground.  That's a little too close to death defying for me.

I love shacks, they always have the best food.
It's an optical illusion!

The amazing view from our room, this picture does no justice.
SOLD!
